Legend is one of three works reflecting on cultural revival and feminine strength - merging the rich heritage of Kazakh culture with contemporary themes of identity and resilience.
Through series such as Legend, 1990, and 1991, I explore these ideas in depth, drawing on legends and historical shifts that shaped the Turkic people - particularly through the lens of the female experience.
The myths that once empowered our ancestors embody the enduring Turkic spirit. Figures of heritage - the nurturing mother-wolf, the enchanting bird, and blooming flora - symbolize familial duty, abundance, and harmony with nature. Together, they guide us toward a brighter future.
